God Multiplies Our Efforts

In early 2017, I self-published an article on my personal blog. I had given it more detailed attention than I usually do, and held off publishing it for 18 months while I refined it and waited for God's leading to share it. When I felt His leading, I surrendered it in prayer--asking Him to bring it in front of the eyes He wanted to read it. After sharing it, Bible Gateway noticed it and shared on their social media sites. Another publisher asked permission to condense and republish as well. God multiplied my efforts by bringing it to audiences that I would never have contact with naturally! I am simultaneously humbled and thrilled by the experience. Generous Couple Keeps Summer Mission from Closing

This week I learned that Hampton Beach Summer Mission almost died in 2011, when after much effort, student housing couldn't be acquired. Cru announced that it was the final year and prepared for the end of a legacy. That’s when Dave walked by.  A longtime Hampton resident and active church member, Dave didn’t want to see the end of Cru Summer Mission. His wife Amy told me,  “It brings new life to the church, and we just love getting to know the kids [college students].”   Upon hearing the reason for the end, Dave and Amy considered how they could help, and they generously purchased a beach house for Cru students! The place was a fixer-upper indeed, and Dave & Amy spend the off-seasons repairing and restoring this house for the sake of the Gospel. We keep thanking them, and they keep saying how they have the easy job and credit us and our students with the bigger work. I think in God's mind, both are just as valuable. :)  New porch that Dave & Amy recently
